The Marietta Arts Council is excited to present the return of the TrailFest sculpture tour! This self-guided tour in public parks throughout Downtown Marietta will feature medium to large scale 3D artwork for a yearlong installation. Be a part of this exciting public arts festival and celebration today!

This application will close at Midnight on Friday, February 24, 2023.

SHOW DETAILS: 

  • This is a juried exhibition, showcasing existing 3D artwork able to be displayed outside for a 60 day installation

  • The exhibition is open to all artists.

  • Exhibit will be on display from May 10, 2022 – May 10, 2023 in Downtown Marietta

  • There is no application fee to submit works for consideration

  • Artists are invited to submit a detailed concept design proposal. Concept designs will be reviewed by the selection committee, which will make recommendations for award of exhibition. Final approval of artists and artworks will be made by the Marietta Arts Council, the M2R TrailFest Committee, and the Marietta community.

  • All credentials must be submitted by email to krista@dkgallery.us by 12:00pm EST on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Please note: All works must follow the guidelines for public art as set by the City of Marietta. No sexually explicit nudity, foul language, or violent imagery will be accepted.

  • March 2023 Contact Artists & Apply for City Approval

  • April 2023 Approved Artists will be Contacted

  • May 10-12, 2022 Installation of artworks

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: 

For this RFP, artists are invited to submit a single document in .pdf format only. This document must be labeled with the name of the artist/artist team and must include:

  • Current contact information, including email address and phone number

  • A current CV/artist statement and a brief bio on you/your art group

  • A link to your professional website

  • Images* of up to three (3) recent projects (up to a maximum of 5 images per project) including a written description of the materials, size, title, location, commissioning boyd, and project cost

  • Proposal for project: please be as detailed as possible, including the proposed location of your work, up to three (#) photos of the artwork, installation requirements**, title, size and material of work, space and power requirements, and artist statement about the piece.

  • A detailed budget, including artist fees, travel and installation needs, etc. as outlined in Section F.
    Names and contact information for two references (preferable for projects completed in the past five years)

  • Your digital signature affirming that the work proposed is all original content and in no way is plagiarized from another artist
