Artist Bio:

I was born in Chicago in 1950 and raised in Greenville, South Carolina from the age of one. After my discharge from the Navy, I received my BFA from the Atlanta College of Art. Since then, I have been a full-time artist with an independent studio in Atlanta. My work has been exhibited in the Southeast. The majority of my sculptures are in private collections with the exception of two large-scale steel pieces in the Smith-Gilbert Arboretum in Kennesaw, Georgia.

My work is primarily derived from found materials which I combine to represent organic objects and movement. I honed my planning, production and installation techniques at Colonial Forge which served as a solid background for creating complex, large-scale, steel objects into works of art with a professional finish.

I have had the opportunity to travel extensively in the U.S., Canada, China and Europe and have found inspiration in the foreign landscapes, particularly China. I have been married for 34 years and have two adult daughters. I am a musician (bass guitar) and enjoy the outdoors.
